This is a view of the backyard from the deck. on the right is the new cathouse (cat playhouse). At the back left of the yard is a new ground level deck and the entrance to the chicken coop. The coop runs across the width of the backyard.

Here's the same view but from the ground level. Chai is the foreground to provide scale :-) Although you can't see it, the cathouse walls are made of 2"x3" vinyl covered wire fencing. You can also see the fencing of the chicken coop beyond the cathouse.

A closer view of the front of the cathouse. You can see the fencing from here, and also see the ramp on the left that runs from the house to the cathouse. The ramp and cat door from the house are all enclosed in wire so that the cats cannot escape to run into the street.

Here's a view from inside the cathouse looking up the cat ramp. At the top of the ramp there is a bridge that runs to the left onto the deck. There is a cat door from the deck into the house so the cats can go in and out whenever they want to.

This is a view from inside the cathouse looking out into the yard. It's quite lovely sitting in here on a sunny day with a cat bounding around (or snoozing).
