Ancestors of today's Pueblo Indians lived in this canyon up until about 600 years ago. Bandalier canyon is maybe half a mile wide, a few miles long, and has a year round stream running through it. There are many flat areas on the canyon floor, forested regions, and meadows. A great place to live!
